Politicians Should Focus on Addressing The Country’s Problems

Mutare – Politicians here have been urged to focus on finding solutions to the country’s problems and not on fighting for political supremacy.

Zimbabwe Activist Alliance (ZAA) Manicaland Co-ordinator, Lynette Mudehwe said the prolonged political bickering by the main political parties was unhealthy and hampered development.

“The fighting in most cases has nothing to do with addressing the challenges faced by the people who voted the politicians into office but has everything to do with feeding their ego. We voted them into power for them to put our needs as the electorate first before anything,” she said.

Mudehwe criticised MDC Alliance Members of Parliament who walked out on President Emmerson Mnangagwa when he officially opened parliament. She accused parliamentarians of caring more about their own welfare than that of the people.
